From the chapter

Gratitude, and what the day held

A heartfelt thank you to the BVB Alumni Pune Chapter, and to Dileep Miskin, Dinesh Adiga, the core group and every volunteer, for the family meet at Hotel Central Park.

The programme moved as a reunion. A welcome, introductions across generations, songs, games, the felicitation of Prof. B. L. Desai, and a North Karnataka lunch cooked with a chef from Buldhana. Most of the room was from Pune. Some had come from Mumbai. Prof. Desai and Amar Momaya came from the college to say how the campus has grown. Alumni president Vinay Javali could not be there, and a few newly registered members cancelled at the last minute.

Happy memories, renewed friendships, and a deep sense of pride in our BVB and KLE family.

That line is from Prabhu Sampagaon, Class of 1983, writing the next day. It matches the stage: people stood up to place a life next to the college that started it.

From the introductions

Who stood up

This is everyone whose introduction was on the recordings. It is not a signed attendance sheet. Where a surname did not come through, the card says so, and it does not invent one. School details of children are left out. A separate graduate sheet in the Drive folder was not the list of people on this stage.
